OVERLEA, MD — Cheryl Harrow of Overlea has won a trip to the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy through the My Lottery Rewards program, making her Olympic dreams a reality.

As part of the Maryland Lottery’s Mega Millions® Team USA™ second-chance promotion, Cheryl secured her place as a winner in the July 2 drawing. Excited to attend the Winter Games in Milan, Italy, she plans to take her husband along to enjoy some of their favorite winter sports, including ice hockey and figure skating.

Cheryl, a retired nurse practitioner, entered the promotion by submitting six Mega Millions tickets just before the entry deadline. Her recent luck in bar bingo seemed to carry over, leading to this once-in-a-lifetime prize.

“I thought the Winter Olympics would be more fun, and I have never been to Italy,” Cheryl shared, expressing her excitement about the upcoming trip. She received the good news just before heading to Ocean City for a summer vacation, where she shared her joy with family and friends.

In addition to the trip, Cheryl will receive a Team USA-themed prize pack featuring merchandise like hoodies, range packs, hats, and tumblers. The experience of attending the 2026 Winter Games wasn’t even on her bucket list, making the win even more special.

The Maryland Lottery’s My Lottery Rewards promotion still offers one more chance for players to win a VIP Olympic Game Trip package to either the 2026 Winter Games in Milan or the 2028 Summer Games in Los Angeles. Participants can enter eligible Mega Millions tickets into the MLR program until August 12 for a chance to win.

Since its inception in 2013, My Lottery Rewards has allowed players to enter non-winning scratch-offs and draw game tickets to earn points and enter promotions for prizes like vacations, tech packages, and more.
